How is booth space assigned for 2027?
Booth space is assigned using a priority‑based system that considers:
- Seniority — consecutive years exhibiting, IHA membership, and booth size in 2026 + 2025
- Booth Size & Configuration — including expansion requests and availability
- Premium Space availability, if applicable
- Space Application submission and payment
- Overall Floor Plan Efficiency — traffic flow, utilities, safety
This ensures fairness while allowing the Show to build the strongest possible floor plan.
Submitting your Space Application and payment as early as possible is strongly recommended. Early submission ensures your application and deposit are fully processed and gives you access to the widest range of space options available based on your seniority and availability at the time your assignment is made.
How does the seniority system work?
Seniority is calculated using:
- Consecutive years exhibiting
- IHA Membership
- Booth size in 2026 and 2025
This system rewards long‑term participation and engagement with the Show.
What happens if two exhibitors have the same seniority?
If two or more exhibitors have identical seniority totals, tie‑breakers are applied in this order:
- Consecutive years exhibiting
- IHA membership status
- Booth size from 2026 + 2025
- Timestamp of completed Space Application and payment
How does booth size and configuration affect my assignment?
Requests for expansion, specific layouts or multi‑side exposure are considered during assignment. Larger or more complex configurations may require additional flexibility depending on floorplan constraints.
What is meant by “overall floor plan efficiency” in the booth assignment process?
This includes:
- Traffic flow and aisle balance
- Utility access
- Safety and emergency requirements
- Placement of feature areas and activations
These factors ensure a smooth, high‑quality experience for exhibitors and attendees.
What qualifies as Premium Member Space?
Premium Member Space represents the highest‑visibility real estate in the hall, located adjacent to the main South Hall entrance. These locations are limited and assigned based on seniority, booth size, and overall floorplan optimization. Minimum 1,000 sq ft and maximum 2,000 sq ft. are required.
Do I have to be a member to receive the $2.00/ft2 discount?
Yes, only members can receive the discounted rate.
What if I want to exhibit at the 2027 Show but am unsure of my location or size of booth? How should I proceed? Do I still qualify for a discount?
If you want to exhibit at the 2027 Show but have questions about your location or size of your booth, whether that be expansion or reduction, you should still submit the signed space application AND note your desire for change. Provided IHA receives the signed space application and payment by the cut-off date, the discount will still apply. During the space assignment process, it will be important for you to work closely with your IHA Sales Manager to ensure that your requests are met.
What space rate will I pay if I don’t submit a signed space application and / or submit full payment by the deadline date?
If a signed space application and / or the payment for space is not received by the Early Application deadline date (July 10, 2026), Regular 2027 Space Rates will apply.
What happens to my seniority number if I cancel my booth space?
If IHA retains money paid for space originally reserved for the 2027 Show and the amount owed was paid in full, then the seniority number is retained for one year.
If IHA does not retain money paid for space originally reserved for the 2027 Show or if the amount owed was not paid in full, then the seniority number is forfeited.
How do I submit a Space Application?
If your company is already approved or if you have exhibited in the past, please check your inbox for an email that will have your space application link. If you can’t locate your link please reach out to [email protected] or contact your sales manager.
My company didn’t exhibit at the 2026 Show. Can I still take advantage of the Early Application discount?
Yes, any member company that submits a signed space application and makes full payment by the deadline date qualifies for the discount.
Where can I see the Terms & Conditions of exhibiting?
The Space Application contains all Terms & Conditions of exhibiting. Please review before signing and submitting to IHA.
