2020 Exhibitor Refunds

I was contracted to exhibit at the 2020 Show at the time that the Show was cancelled. Will I receive a refund?

Yes, IHA’s Board of Directors has determined that exhibitors who were contracted to exhibit at the 2020 Show at the time of the Show cancellation will receive a 100% refund for paid space fees and corner charges in the form of a credit toward space in the 2021 Show, provided their 2020 Show accounts were paid in full. 

I cancelled my space after the October 31, 2019 deadline. Will I receive a refund?

Yes, IHA’s Board of Directors has determined that exhibitors who cancelled their 2020 space after the October 31, 2019 deadline will receive a 100% refund for paid space fees and corner charges in the form of a credit toward space in the 2021 Show, provided their 2020 Show accounts were paid in full. 

If I choose not to exhibit at the 2021 Show, will I receive a refund?

No, refunds are only available in the form of credits toward the 2021 Show.

If I choose not to exhibit at the 2021 Show, can I apply my credit toward future Shows?

No, credits may only be applied to the 2021 Show.

If I choose to downsize my booth in 2021, will I receive a refund for the difference?

No, refunds for unused booth space or corners are not permitted.

If I choose to downsize my booth in 2021, will the difference in cost be credited toward future Shows?

No, credits may only be applied to the 2021 Show.

Will I receive a credit or refund for costs related to display submissions (i.e. New Product Showcase, gia, Celebration of Coffee)?

No. IHA is working on digital displays to promote products submitted for onsite displays and award programs including the New Product Showcase, Global Innovation Awards (gia) and the Celebration of Coffee. More details will be made available in late March or early April.

Will my 2019-2020 IHA Membership fee be refunded or credited?

No. As we are coming to the end of the membership year (April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020), IHA Membership fees are not refundable.

How may I use my credit from The Inspired Home Show 2020 toward The Inspired Home Show 2021?

Your credit may only be applied to booth space and corner charges for the 2021 Show.

Can I use my credit toward IHA Membership dues?

No, your credit may only be applied to booth space and corner charges for the 2021 Show.

Can I use my credit toward other IHA programs and services?

No, your credit may only be applied to booth space and corner charges for the 2021 Show.

2021 Membership and Space Rates

What is the 2020-2021 IHA Membership period?

April 1, 2020 – March 31, 2021

Will IHA raise membership dues for 2020-2021?

No, membership dues will remain the same:

  • Companies with annual housewares sales under $10 million – $500
  • Companies with annual housewares sales over $10 million – $800
Will IHA raise member booth space rates for the 2021 Show?

Considering the financial challenges that this pandemic has and will likely continue to create for our members, the IHA the Board of Directors has decided to freeze member space rates for 2021.   Member rates for The Inspired Home Show 2021 are:

  • Early bird (on or before June 15, 2020): $16.50 per ft2
  • Standard (after June 15, 2020): $17.00 per ft2
  • Corner fees: $400 per corner
Does my company have to be a member to qualify for member rates?

Yes, in order to qualify for member rates, you must be a member in good standing with all membership fees paid. 

What will non-member booth space rates be for the 2021 Show?

Non-member rates for The Inspired Home Show 2021 are:

  • Early bird (on or before June 15, 2020): $23.50 per ft2
  • Standard (after June 15, 2020): $24.00 per ft2
  • Corner fees: $400 per corner

Will Exhibitors be reimbursed for third-party arrangements?

Please review your agreement with your vendor. IHA is not party to any arrangement between exhibitors and third-party providers.

I submitted product for a Show display. Will it be returned to me?
  • gia Product Design
    • Products that have been selected as gia Product finalists will be held for judging and award distribution. After judging concludes, Connie Chantos will be in touch with options. 
  • New Product Showcase
    • If you would like your product returned, please contact Connie Chantos with your shipping account number by April 10, 2020. After this date, products will be donated to an IHA-approved charity on your behalf. Note: These items are currently in transit between Freeman and McCormick Place and it may be up to two weeks before we are able to ship them back.
  • Celebration of Coffee Display
    • If you would like your product returned, please contact Lindsay Pearson-Wessels with your shipping account number by April 10, 2020. After this date, products will be donated to an IHA-approved charity on your behalf.
  • Discover Design Gallery:
    • If you would like your product returned, please contact Lindsay Pearson-Wessels with your shipping account number by April 10, 2020. After this date, products will be donated to an IHA-approved charity on your behalf.
  • Pantone ColorWatch:
    • IHA and Pantone will be reviewing options for delivering the annual color forecast vignettes and we will be in touch once additional information is available. Please contact Vicki Mantrega with any questions.
  • Influencer Conference:
    • If you would like your product returned, please contact Leana Salamah with your shipping account number by April 10, 2020. After this date, products will be donated to an IHA-approved charity on your behalf.
  • Independents’ Day:
    • If you would like your product returned, please contact Connie Chantos with your shipping account number by April 10, 2020. After this date, products will be donated to an IHA-approved charity on your behalf.
  • Market Watch:
    • We are reviewing these products for possible inclusion in ongoing PR efforts related to the IHA Market Watch Report. We will contact selected exhibitors directly to discuss next steps. Questions can be directed to Leana Salamah.
  • Press/Media Room:

Can I get a list of registered buyers?

We will be releasing the list of registered buyers to our exhibitor community via Exhibitor Connect later this month. 

Can I get a list of registered media?

The pre-Show media list is currently available through your exhibitor portal. We will be updating and finalizing this list over the next two weeks.

Seniority Numbers

How does the 2020 cancellation impact my seniority number?

Seniority numbers are frozen from 2020 for those exhibitors receiving a credit toward the 2021 Show.

If I do not exhibit in 2021, will I maintain my seniority for 2022?

Exhibitors are allowed one year of non-participation in a five-year period without impacting their seniority number. We will not count 2020 toward that policy; however, if you do not exhibit in 2021, you will be subject to the standard seniority policy.

In 2020, I paid the standard member rate for booth space. If I submit my booth space application by the early-bird deadline for 2021, will I pay the early-bird member rate and receive a refund for the difference?

No, refunds are only available in the form of credits toward the 2021 Show.

In 2020, I paid the early-bird member rate for booth space. If I wait to submit my booth space application until after the early-bird deadline in 2021, will I be charged the standard member rate and owe the difference?

Yes, you will be charged applicable rates per the space application deadlines.

Can additional space purchased for 2021 be cancelled?

Yes, if you cancel by the 2021 cancellation deadline, the additional fees are refundable.
